Header

Header is a section that appears at the top of the page and will be present on all pages. In the Header, you can set up functions such as the Main Menu, Logo, Top Bar Announcement, etc.

In this article, I will guide you through setting up each feature for the header.

Adding Currency and Language to Header

The Language and Currency are displayed at the top-left corner.

Adding a currency to shop

Step 1: From the admin sidebar, click on Settings -> Payment and choose the payment method

Step 2: Choose the Markets -> click on Add Market -> add Market Name -> add 1 Country to market and then you are all set.

Adding a language to shop

Step 1: From the admin sidebar, click on Settings

Step 2: Navigate to Languages

Step 3: Click on Add language -> Select a language that you want to add to your shop

Step 4: Click Next button

Step 5: On the each of the selected language, click Add to market link -> Finally, click Done

Step 6: You will see the latest selected language appears on the Unpublished languages -> Click Edit link -> Translate & Adapt (If you still not install the Translate & Adapt app, please read Required & Recommended Apps)

Step 7: Finally, click Publish button

Step 1: Click on Store details

The social networks are displayed on the top-right corner of the Header.

Step 1: Click on a Socials to modify the added setting or click on Add block and add a new Socials

Step 2: At the Socials setting area, You can customize Social Label, Social Icon and Social Link.

Step 3: Finally, click Save button

Customizing Announcement Bar

Step 1: Click on Header 1 section

Step 2: At the setting area of Header 1, scroll down to the Announcement Bar section > Text.

Step 3: Enter the content you want to display. You can click on MyShopKit HTML Generator to style your content.

Uploading Logo

Step 1: Click on Header 1 Section

Step 2: At the setting area of Header 1, scroll down to the Logo > Enable section.

Step 3: Upload your logo

Step 1: From the admin sidebar, click on Online Store -> Navigation -> Add menu

Step 2: Here, you will add the desired items to your Menu and then click Save menu button

Step 3: Now, go back to the Shopify Editor and click on Header 1, then click on Select menu and choose the menu you just created.

Setting up Wishlist

Step 1: From the admin sidebar, click on Pages -> Add a new page

Step 2: Assign veda-wishlist to Theme template

Step 3: Click on Edit website SEO

Step 4: Copy the value in the URL and handle field

Step 5: Go back to Veda Digita Customize area -> Click on Header 1

Step 6: Click on Right Actions -> Wishlist block and paste the copied value to Right Actions > Link Important: You need to add /pages/ before the handle value.
